1st of November

Its an early post, got a bit of a block i thought i would talk about my day and yesterday. Went in yesterday to the forge and met some of the tasters before i got into swinging myself, a couple of em seemed really intrested in doing the course. After messing around looking at the youngster i got into forging leaves, i think in all i forged around 20 or so, alot found there way into the scrap bin or were flattened when i lost my patience.

These are ones i decided i would bring back, i feel over the day whether it was muscle memory or something but i was doing them faster and more refined. Quite happy with how yesterday went i must say.

As of today, well i had a fine tutorail with Del. She had alot of ideas while looking through my sketchbook where i could take this. One of the main points she brought forward like Adrian was i putting the ristricers on myself, one of my main problems with this course is i get an idea and i build it in my head and i stick to that design. Luckly she likes the design just ive got to start working on other avenues, just because i dont use them doesnt mean i shouldnt explore the other ways i could take this piece. Ive got alot of drawing to do tonight on a few of these points.

All in all it was a good talk, im looking forward to more tutorails with Del, she doesnt talk in riddles which i can respect in this day and age. One thing i forgot to ask her about was these Hereford Anvil shirts and if i could get one for my visit to Chris Topp, need to put a reminder somewhere.
